Becoming a Weekday Warrior begins with committing to a challenge that is for you and you alone. We have set the time limit of the working week for you to pursue this challenge. You are then free to split your chosen distance across the five days however you see fit. For some Warriors, making the commitment to run every day for five days is the challenge. For other Warriors, aspiring to run a total of a half-marathon, a marathon, or even a marathon a day would be the task at hand.

Whatever your challenge, one thing we are certain of is the sense of achievement and accomplishment you will feel when you reach your new personal goal. But more importantly, pursuing your challenge amongst our community of Warriors will bring a shared excitement and camaraderie that we also need to thrive. Weekday Warrior is about encouraging individual achievement and building vibrant and inclusive communities. At the heart of our mission is the conviction is that anyone can be a Weekday Warrior.

The first principle asks you to set a challenge that is personal to you. We are all running our own races, so every challenge set is relative to each Warrior. Depending on your fitness levels and goals, we have a range of challenges you can register for. Alternatively, you are also welcome define your own goals, or simply join a local event for a few Weekday Warrior group runs.

Our second principle focuses on fostering communities. We encourage Warriors to mobilise their family, friends, and colleagues to join parts of their journey, whether it be by running, supporting, or joining for the end of week celebrations. Our ultimate aim is to build an inspiring and inclusive network around the practice of running. You can sign up for a local Warrior event, organise your own, and share your stories to inspire our global community.

Our third principle promotes running as an ongoing practice rather than a one-off race. Our goal is to build lifetime endurance by running at a comfortable speed. We run to cultivate communities that foster longstanding physical and mental fitness. We don’t run slow, we run right, and we run together. Join us to set a local and balanced, globally connected pace.
