This week marked a monumental first in WeekdayWarrior history: the debut of our youngest, furriest, and most enthusiastic participant—Milo the dog. New to the challenge but bursting with energy, Milo instantly became the unofficial mascot, team therapist, and chaos coordinator.

Clocking nearly 15km a day, Milo didn’t just keep up—he led the charge, dragging humans joyfully across trails with boundless energy and a tongue that never stayed inside his mouth for long. Whether you were a seasoned runner or a reluctant jogger, morale soared whenever Milo trotted by, ears flopping, eyes gleaming, and heart fully committed to making out with every fellow participant (consensually, of course).

As an American Shepherd, Milo wasn’t just leading us—he was herding us. And honestly? We probably needed it.
And let’s be honest—without Milo, it’s questionable whether the rest of us would’ve finished.
That said, running with Milo came with its own… logistics. Bathroom breaks were frequent (for both humans and canines), though the wilderness was obligingly accommodating. More notably, Milo embraced the spirit of adventure a bit too literally. His personal mission? To mark every new territory encountered, which felt like every 100 meters. So while our watches tracked “running,” a more accurate description might be drag-stop-sniff-tug-run-repeat.
Still, this tiny tornado of fur never tired. After every 15km, when most humans were collapsing onto grass, Milo was still pulling at the leash, ready to chase sticks, birds, or simply the horizon. It’s safe to say this was just the beginning for him.

We’re proud to say that Milo has officially earned his WeekdayWarrior shirt (as seen in the photo), and we’re now confronted with a new challenge: canine-compatible apparel. Because let’s face it—this won’t be his last adventure, and no warrior, human or hound, should go unrecognized.
Here’s to Milo, the pup who proved that sometimes the strongest motivator isn’t a personal best, but a wagging tail, a herding instinct, and an unrelenting desire to lick your entire face.
